Item Accounting Information Systems as Mediator for Digital Technology and Strategic Performance Interplay(MDPI, 2023-04) Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.; Yousaf, Zahid; Grigorescu, Adriana; Oprișan, Oana; Haffar, MohamedDigital technology (DT) has been broadly studied in industry and in scholarly research. This study aimed to examine the use of digital technology in the attainment of strategic performance and considered the mediating role of the accounting information systems (AISs) between them. Furthermore, this study explored the moderation of digital innovation in the linkage between DT and strategic performance. For data collection, 326 questionnaires were collected, and quantitative methods and random sampling techniques were used. The results showed that digital technology is directly associated with strategic performance. The findings also confirm that AISs play a mediating role, and digital innovation plays a moderating role in the association between digital technology and strategic performance. The results of this research encourage businesses to utilize opportunities for growing advanced technologies and developments in the industry to take up novel digital technologies, to advance their digital abilities to grow to be innovation leaders, and to boost the strategic performance of their firms. This study is one of the first pieces of research to provide information on how the latest technologies could have an influence in making innovative products/services and, afterward, boost firms' strategic performance. This study also fills a gap in the literature regarding the driving factors of strategic performance by defining the mediating role of AISs and the moderating role of digital innovation in the association between dynamic factors and performance. The outcomes of this research demonstrate that AISs are extremely helpful and have an influence on the strategic performance of electronics firms.Item Customer Engagement and Customer Relationship Management Capabilities' Effects on Innovation Performance and Customer Distrust's Moderating Role(MDPI, 2023-06) Binsaeed, Rima H.; Yousaf, Zahid; Grigorescu, Adriana; Chițescu, Răzvan Ion; Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.; Samoilă, AlinaThis research aims to investigate how customer relationship management capabilities (CRMCs) improve customer engagement and innovation performance. Customer engagement is also tested as a mediator between CRM capabilities and innovation performance. Furthermore, the distrust moderating role was studied towards the relationship between CRMCs and customer engagement. Data were collected from 491 owner/managers of SMEs working in Saudi Arabia. The findings revealed that CRMCs positively predict customer engagement and innovation performance. Customer engagement directly affects innovation performance and acts as a mediator as well. In addition, the findings proved that distrust moderates on the link between CRMCs and customer engagement. This research adds to the marketing management theory and practices and highlighted the role of CRMCs in achieving innovation performance. It explored, considering the data base collected from SME owners and managers, the mechanism of innovation performance achievement through CRMCs and customer engagement. CRMC improvements allow businesses to have sustainable development and a better integration in the market.Item Digital Revolution and Digitization Process to Promote AIS as a Vector of Financial Performance(MDPI, 2023-07) Binsaeed, Rima H.; Yousaf, Zahid; Grigorescu, Adriana; Radu, Valentin; Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.Nowadays, many businesses recognize the importance of digitization as a strategic advantage to maintain competitiveness. As a result, current research aims to investigate three significant factors that influence digital transformation: digital innovation (DI), digital orientation (DO), and the accounting information system (AIS). These factors are supposed to impact the financial success and performance of firms. The objective of this study is to examine the positive association between digital orientation and financial performance (FP) and to explore how the AIS mediates this relationship. Additionally, this paper investigates the moderating role of digital innovation in the relationship between digital orientation and financial performance. To collect data, a quantitative method was employed using a random sampling technique. Data were collected via a questionnaire survey from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in China, with a sample size of 550. Structural equation modeling (SEM) and a bootstrapping technique with 5000 iterations were used to test the study hypotheses. The findings of this study indicate a positive link between digital orientation and the financial performance of organizations. Furthermore, the results confirm that the AIS acts as a mediator between digital orientation and financial performance. The outcomes also demonstrate that digital innovation plays a moderating role in the relationship between DO and financial performance. This paper contributes to the existing literature on digital transformation by providing a deeper understanding of the aforementioned antecedents of the digital revolution (DO, AIS, and financial performance) and how they should be integrated within digitalization settings to achieve financial performance.Item Does Technology Orientation Determine Innovation Performance through Digital Innovation? This study also investigates the mediating role of digital innovation (a special type of innovation that is based on digital technologies) in the relationship between technology orientation and innovation performance. Primary data, based on perception, was collected from operational managers of electronic firms. Correlation and regression analyses were used to test the direct relationship among digital innovation, innovation performance, and technology orientation. The stepwise regression model was used to check the indirect relationship (mediation analysis). Findings revealed that technology orientation is a major predictor of innovation performance in the electronic industry. Results show that digital innovation acts as a bridge between technology orientation and innovation performance. This study investigates the nexus of technology orientation, digital innovation, and innovation performance in electronic firms. This study contextualizes electronic firms for the achievement of innovation performance through digitalization and technology orientation, which is a dire need of the current decade.Item Emotional Intelligence, Innovative Work Behavior, and Cultural Intelligence Reflection on Innovation Performance in the Healthcare Industry(MDPI, 2023-07) Binsaeed, Rima H.; Yousaf, Zahid; Grigorescu, Adriana; Condrea, Elena; Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.Innovation requires creativity, risk-taking, and the ability to manage change effectively, all of which are closely linked to emotional intelligence. Individuals with high levels of emotional intelligence are more flexible, adaptable, and resilient in technological advancements and are better able to respond effectively to new challenges and opportunities. Thus, this study aims to recognize the significant role of emotional intelligence, along with the mediation of innovative work behavior (IWB) and the moderation role of cultural intelligence in the attainment of innovation performance. This is quantitative research and for data collection, a questionnaire was used in healthcare institutions. The result shows that emotional intelligence is an antecedent of innovation performance. The finding also proved that IWB mediates the linkage between emotional intelligence and innovation performance. In addition, the outcomes show that cultural intelligence strengthens the relationship between emotional intelligence and innovation performance. However, the current dynamic business world has created an urgency to understand the linkage between the employee's emotional intelligence and employee innovative performance, particularly taking into consideration the mediation effect of IWB. Emotional intelligence and innovation are closely linked, and innovative work behavior connects this link in a stronger way. This study offered a unique framework for achieving innovation performance through the nexus of emotional intelligence, innovative work behavior, and cultural intelligence.Item Green and Environmental Marketing Strategies and Ethical Consumption: Evidence from the Tourism Sector(MDPI, 2023-08) Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.; Yousaf, Zahid; Grigorescu, Adriana; Popa, AlexandraSustainable business in the hospitality sector should be designed and restructured to offer services meant to satisfy the customers aware of the ethical behavior toward environment. Green environmental marketing strategies (GES) are based on the desire of the customers to access hospitality services with zero or a less negative impact with the adaptation of greening activities. Therefore, this research aims to explore the direct effects of green environmental strategies on ethical consumption and the indirect influence of green marketing and its mediating effect between green environmental strategies and ethical consumption links. Additionally, this research also reveals that psychological aspects play the moderating role in the relationship between GES and ethical consumption. The data were collected from a sample of 545 respondents with the support of Saudi tourism companies, and a structural equation model was used to process them. The findings confirm the positive relationship between green environmental strategy and ethical consumption. The outcomes also corroborate that green marketing is interplaying between green environmental strategy and ethical consumption. In addition, this study validates that psychological aspects strengthen the link between GES and ethical consumption. This study adds to the knowledge in the literature through emphasizing the crucial role of psychological factors in improving green environmental strategies and developing ethical consumption habits among members to increase ethical consumption among tourism companies. The findings support companies from the hospitality sector implementing green sustainable services, to stimulate ethical consumption and to use their competitive advantage in green marketing strategies.Item Harnessing Big Data Analytics to Accelerate Innovation: An Empirical Study on Sport-Based Entrepreneurs(MDPI, 2023-07) Binsaeed, Rima H.; Grigorescu, Adriana; Yousaf, Zahid; Radu, Florin; Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.; Tăbîrcă, Alina IulianaThe emergence of advanced technologies brings various opportunities for all kinds of business organizations. This topic was selected for research and discussion to figure out the possible impacts of using the ever-increasing development of digitalization, big data analytic capabilities (BDACs) and innovation in the field of sport-based entrepreneurship, which is the main pillar for the economic wellbeing, development and growth of sport activities. This study highlights the function of the BDAC of entrepreneurs in the acceleration of their readiness and innovation activities. Beyond the direct association of BDAC with an entrepreneur's readiness and innovation performance (IP), we also tested the mediation of entrepreneurial readiness between the BDAC and IP of sport-based entrepreneurs. Moreover, the moderation of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) was also considered for the readiness and IP link. In this study, data were collected from 562 sport-based entrepreneurs. Online questionnaires were used for data collection, and various statistical techniques, including correlation, regression and structural equation modeling (AMOS 7.0), were applied for the analyses of the collected data. The outcomes of this study disclosed that BDAC and entrepreneur readiness positively predicted the IP. The results revealed that entrepreneurial readiness mediated between BDAC and IP. The findings suggested that sport-based entrepreneurs should enhance their BDAC for the execution of sport-related innovative activities. In spite of its valuable findings and suggestions, the current study is subject to some limitations. Firstly, this study is limited to sport-based entrepreneurs only. Secondly, AIT theory was used here, so for future considerations, other pillars of the economy such as the manufacturing sector should also be considered and the many other theories available should be employed.Item Knowledge Sharing and the Moderating Role of Digital Innovation on Employees Innovative Work Behavior(MDPI, 2023-07) Binsaeed, Rima H.; Yousaf, Zahid; Grigorescu, Adriana; Trandafir, Raluca Andreea; Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.This study aims to give an econometric analysis of the energy sector employee's innovative work behavior (IWB) with the mediation function of knowledge sharing (KS) and is mainly focused on how Network Capability (NC) plays a significant role in promoting the performance of knowledge sharing in the energy sector, which guides toward IWB. Current research also investigates the role of digital innovation (DI) in moderating the linkage between NC and IWB. For data collection, the quantitative method and 578 questionnaires were used. To test the study hypothesis, a structural equation model and bootstrapping are used. The findings prove that NC has a positive impact on IWB. Furthermore, it has been established that KS acts as a mediator in establishing the connection between network capacity NC and IWB. The results of the moderation role confirm that Digital Innovation in the energy sector strengthens the relationship between NC and IWB. By examining the potential mediating function of the KS in the NC-IWB links, this project expands the body of previous data. Current research further contributes to the better perception of NC, KS, digital innovation, and innovative work behavior in the energy sector.Item Knowledge Sharing Key Issue for Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence Adoption(MDPI, 2023-07) Binsaeed, Rima H.; Yousaf, Zahid; Grigorescu, Adriana; Samoilă, Alina; Chițescu, Răzvan Ion; Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.In the current digital era, digital technologies develop and emerge rapidly, businesses, especially the electronic sector more connected to information technology, facing challenges in the terms of its technology infrastructure and tactical directions. That's why most of them adopt the latest digital technology (DT) and design novel business strategies and models. The growing significance of AI in the transformation of manufacturing operations and the demand for a thorough knowledge of the variables affecting its adoption serve as the driving forces behind the study. Several researchers have presented that digital technology can lead toward AI adoption. Though, previous studies lack an efficient transformation pathway. Therefore, this study establishes an inventive approach and aims to investigate the direct link between digital technology and AI adoption, the mediating function of knowledge sharing (KS) between them, and explore the moderating impact of privacy and security that assist in the acceleration of AI adoption in electronics manufacturing enterprises through the antecedent of digital technology. This study is quantitative in nature, random sampling method and questionnaire is used as a survey tool. Depending on 298 questionnaire data from electronic firms of Saudi Arabia, this study performs multi-level correlation and regression analysis to evaluate study hypotheses. Findings confirm that digital technology has a positive influence on AI adoption. In addition, outcomes corroborate that knowledge sharing mediates in the linkage between digital technology and AI adoption. The results also proved that privacy and security have a positive moderation impact on the association between digital technology and AI adoption. This study enlighten that the adoption of this framework enables electronic manufacturing companies to strategically integrate digital-technologies to promote effective AI adoption, increase its operational efficiency, and sustain a competitive advantage in the constantly evolving manufacturing landscape. The outcomes as well supplement the previous study on the linkage between digital technology and AI adoption, expand application space and theoretical boundary from the perspective of knowledge sharing, privacy and security at the managerial level, and give reference for AI adoption in, as electronics manufacturing firms.Item Leading Role of Big Data Analytic Capability in Innovation Performance: Role of Organizational Readiness and Digital Orientation(MDPI, 2023-06) Binsaeed, Rima H.; Grigorescu, Adriana; Yousaf, Zahid; Condrea, Elena; Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.The advancement of technology offers various opportunities for business organizations to achieve sustainable growth. Through emerging technologies, business organizations are able to collect and analyze essential information vital for the acceleration of innovation. Therefore, this study investigated how big data contribute to the innovation activities of manufacturing entrepreneurs in terms of big data analytic capability (BDAC). The aim of this study was to relate BDAC to organizational readiness and innovation performance (IP). Moreover, we examined the mediating role of organizational readiness between BDAC and IP. We also examined the strengthening role of digital orientation. To collect the study data, we approached 494 frontline managers of the manufacturing sector of Saudi Arabia. The collected data were analyzed using statistical techniques such as descriptive, correlation, and hierarchical regression techniques. We found that BDAC plays a vital role in developing organizational readiness and IP. The findings also proved that organizational readiness has a significant effect on IP. Blockchain technology has also been considered to have the ability to change businesses. Therefore, this research aims to explore the direct influence of e-learning on the effectiveness of privacy and security in electronics manufacturing. This study also examines the considerable mediating role of the adoption of blockchain technology between e-learning and privacy and security. Furthermore, the current research investigates how digital orientation moderates the association between e-learning and privacy and security. For the collection of data, the cross-sectional research design and random sampling technique were used, and data were gathered from employees of electronics manufacturing firms in Pakistan through questionnaires. The working response rate of the study was 70%. The findings proved that e-learning plays a considerable role in boosting the privacy and security of electronics manufacturers. The results also demonstrate that the adoption of blockchain technology mediates and digital orientation moderates the link between e-learning and privacy and security. These crises have some psychological effects on society. The COVID-19 pandemic also caused some serious problems for individual and organizational life. Globally, the COVID-19 situation precipitated various economic and psychological issues that are far-reaching and exceptional. Health crises are increasing following the occurrence of COVID-19 due to its psychological effects on individuals worldwide. The current study highlighted the impact of COVID-19 fear on mental well-being (MWB). Most studies have examined the MWB of nursing staff and related their MWB to psychological factors. Few studies have considered the health crisis factors that are important in terms of bringing about variation in the MWB of nursing staff. Nursing staff MWB is impacted by various health crises (including COVID-19) at the global level and it has been ignored by researchers. In this study, a list of 1940 healthcare units with 6758 nursing staff was obtained. A total of 822 nurses were selected with the help of random sampling. The collected data were analyzed using correlation analysis, SPSS (statistical package for social sciences) version 23, and SEM. Thus, in this study we examined the effect of a health crisis (i.e., COVID-19) fear on the MWB of nurses. Moreover, we also examined the extent to which perceived stress (PS) influences the link between COVID-19 fear and MWB. The study's findings confirmed that COVID-19 fear shown negative effect on MWB, while PS mediated the link between COVID-19 fear and MWB.Item The Power of Electronic Media: Nexus of Digital Crowdfunding Platforms, Innovation Strategy, Technology Orientation and Crowdfunding Performance(MDPI, 2023-05-26) Binsaeed, Rima H.; Yousaf, Zahid; Grigorescu, Adriana; Chițescu, Răzvan Ion; Samoilă, Alina; Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.The transformation of technological orientation and crowdfunding as innovative concepts combined with cutting-edge digital tools provides the foundation for outstanding fundraising success. Therefore, this study aims to explore the relationship between technology orientation (TO) and crowdfunding performance. Additionally, this research also investigates how crowdfunding digital platform mediates and innovation strategy moderates in the linkage between crowdfunding performance and technology orientation. Data were collected through a questionnaire on the basis of cross-sectional research design. Structural econometric models for direct and indirect analyses were conducted to test hypotheses. The results confirmed the direct positive impact of technology orientation on crowdfunding performance. Moreover, the findings prove the mediating role of a crowdfunding digital platform and moderating role of innovation strategy between technology orientation and crowdfunding performance. Fundraisers are required to give attention to technology orientation for the acceptance and adoption of the latest advancements in technology. They must consider digital platforms for fundraising and pay proper attention to innovation strategy for achieving the needed crowdfunding performance. This research discusses how return base crowdfunding performance occurs; in future, other researchers may provide evidence on donations/charity campaign base crowdfunding. This is the first study in the context of digital transformation that explored the nexus of technology orientation, crowdfunding digital platform and innovation strategy for attaining crowdfunding performance.Item Zero Waste Management: Investigation of Green Technology, the Green Supply Chain, and the Moderating Role of CSR Intentions(MDPI, 2023-03) Nassani, Abdelmohsen A.; Hussain, Hadi; Condrea, Elena; Grigorescu, Adriana; Yousaf, Zahid; Haffar, MohamedThe conservation of natural resources, reduction in waste, and minimization of energy consumption are now the primary focuses of zero waste management. Thus, this study examined the direct impact of green technology on zero waste management. We also explored the significant mediation role of the green supply chain (GSC) in links between green technology and zero waste management. Moreover, we investigated how corporate social responsibility (CSR) intentions moderate the relationship between green technology and zero waste management. For the data collection, a quantitative method and random sampling technique were used. The data were collected from 450 questionnaires conducted in the energy sector. The results demonstrate that green technology has a valuable role in the accomplishment of zero waste management in enterprises. Our findings also show that the green supply chain mediates, and the CSR intentions moderate, the links between green technology and zero waste management. The current research contributes to the development of a deeper understanding of management by demonstrating that green technology and the green supply chain play considerable roles in the achievement of zero waste management.
