The present paper aims to provide a statistical overview of the current state of digitization and the use of ICT systems security in European companies, with a focus on the proposed implementation of company data protection meteode. After a secondary analysis of recent statistical data provided by European institutions on the level of digitization, but especially the concern for ICT security in European companies, in which the comparison between Romania and the EU average is highlighted, the article continues with a presentation of some solutions for the technical implementation of cybersecurity in companies. A set of technologies that make it possible to detect cyber threats and attacks related to IT security will be exposed.
